Bridge: problems saving metadata templates
«

I'm finding that I am unable to save a metadata template in CS2. I create a new document, go to file info and fill in the info in description and IPTC Contact, and go to the flyout menu to save metadata template.
When I check in Bridge and in PS, it's not there. Any suggestions?

Here's where they go on Mac:
User>Library>Application Support>Adobe>XMP>Metadata Templates
Do you have anything in that folder? Do you have more than one user on this computer? Are you the administrator? Are you in the current Bridge 1.0.3? I could email you a metadata XMP file and you could place it in the folder and see if it shows up.

Peter - I've got two metadata templates in that folder that I created in previous versions of PS that do show up in Bridge. I had the same problem a year ago when trying to save new templates, and never really resolved the issue.
I am the only user, and the administrator, and I'm using 1.0.3.

Mark,
I think you will need to talk to Adobe. It seems as though you have some kind of corruption or anomaly. Out of curiosity, can you create a template in Bridge? Can you modify one of your saved templates and save it with a new name? Have you repaired permissions?

Peter -- I repair permissions on a regular basis.
But, here's a strange thing. I found I can create and save the templates when in Bridge, but not in Photoshop. So my problem of saving templates is resolved, but it is strange that I can't do it in PS.
Thanks for your feedback.

Mark,
Hmmm, that is odd. I think this may come back to bite you at a later date. Can you save other stuff in Photoshop (custom curves, for instance?). What Photoshop are you on?

Peter - yes I can save custon curves, liquify meshes, etc... without a problem. (I'm using CS2)
I guess I should contact Adobe about the issue. Can you recommend where at Adobe I should discuss this?

Sorry, I can't be of help here. I'd poke around on the Adobe site some. There is a forum there.
