image grabber that annotates location?

I've stated elsewhere that I gather images to build a reference file for paintings and other original artwork. I wonder if anyone knows of an application which can save an image AND can annotate the saved file with the original location of the image (the web site address).
I occasionally want to go back to the place where I found an image, but unless I originally entered the location info (either in an unwieldy title, or tagging as I go), I otherwise have no record. I'd have thought this would be standard stuff, but most of the image capture apps I look apparently don't do this (or maybe I'm missing something obvious).
It really doesn't matter to me in which field the info would be stored (as keyword, source, etc), I'd just like to be able to do an image save-as and also have annotated the location somewhere in the file.
Thanks- Bill

Bill,
If this was form a web grab, it seems like the web browser )or some kind of plug-in for the browser) would be needed to do this. Seems like someone might have made such a thing.

I'd think so too, but I haven't seen it so far.
BTW, I probably used the term 'grabber' incorrectly- as I've learned (rather to my great dislike) about all of these 'image grabber/harvesters', where apparently one enters a web address and the software grabs pretty much everything that isn't nailed down. This is not in any way what I'm trying to do (besides the intrusiveness of this, what in the world does anyone want with hundreds or thousands of images in bulk? I guess someone has a use for them.)
My goal is to have a one-step (thereabouts) way to capture *an* image along with its URL, so I can keep track of where it came from. In the worst case, I can always save image and then copy and somehow embed the URL 'manually'. I will keep an eye out for useful apps/extensions of this type. If I run across any, I will post here.
Muzza- thanks for suggestions. I will examine them, too.
