Migrating to larger capacity buckets

Hi-
How does one 'move' or relocate folders of photos so iView will recognize the path change? (I see the 'transfer to folder' command in Actions, but that seems to only apply to files. My Q relates to moving folders and reestablishing paths in iView).

My question really relates to the future task, discussed in DAM book, of shifting buckets of size DVD into larger capacity buckets (like Blue Ray). I am now using iView on a Vista PC. I have a master folder Img_Original, which contains 4 gig buckets Original_01, Original_02, etc.

I saw in DAM book Peter's idea of grouping the DVD-size buckets into a larger, blue ray bucket, and wondered how this would be done properly using iView. (ie: Bucket_Blu_01 would wind up containing the smaller DVD size buckets Original_01, Original_02, etc).

OK, found out how to do it by poking around with test images and directories.

- in Windows explorer, I relocated folder Small_bucket_01, 02, etc. into Big_Blu_bucket_01

- in iView, I went to Catalog folder window, selected Small_bucket_01, right-clicked 'Reset folder path';
I located new path for Small_bucket_01, selected it, and iView could then 'find' the images.

- in iView, 'save'd the catalog so reset folder path was saved.

I assume that's pretty much it- is there a preferred way to do this from a DAM point of view? (Naturally, with 'live' images, everything would be saved and backed up before fiddling with shifting folder paths).

You could also drag and drop from within the folder window in iView itselt--I think. Does the same thing but with less effort.
