Yesterday Photoshop started taking a long time loading any type of file-from small jpgs to large psd, etc..  It doesn't matter if they are over a network or on the cpus harddrive.  It always takes about a minute to load up a file.  I am running a MacPro Intel with up to date OSX.  Any suggestions?  I already tried cleaning out log files, adjusting the cache size.  All the other programs seem to working fine on the cpu...photoshop is the only problem.

Any chance you have  full startup/applications or cache disk?
Is Bridge/ACR slow as well?
System and specs?

Sorry I didn't list my specs, but I ran Disk Warrior this morning and now everything seems to be working just fine.

Okay a while ago Disk Warrior seems to have done the trick.  Now its happening again.  Disk Warrior and Repair permissions do nothing.
Specs:
MacPro  2x2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon
10 GB 667MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM

Bridge and all other programs seem to be running fine.

There's plenty of space on the cache disk.

Okay this is what I've just realized, but doesn't solve anything.  I have two computers networked together.  One has direct access to external hardrives and such.  The other uses the network to access those.  This is the one that is having problems with Photoshop running so slow.  As soon as I set up the network connections it starts running slow.  If the network is disconnected it's fine.  Any suggestions?

Now I've just narrowed it down to one particular drive being networked.  The other 4 drives when networked to this computer cause no problem.  But this particular drive, derivitives, causes the lag.  The computer that derivitives is directly connected to has no problems at all with this drive though.  Huh
