I'm a little embarassed to bring this up among so many interesting and helpful post but I'm PO'ed. Pages are falling out of The Dam Book. This also is happening with books from New Rider and Peachpit Press. I just bought Photoshop CS3 Uptospeed and within days pages were falling out. I don't think I'm rough on books. The backs break and then pages come loose. This is not funny to me. Books should not be so fragile. These books are reference works for me. Just as I pored over The Dam Book, I also pored over Katrin Eismann second edition on restoration and retouching and had the same problem. Now I have the third edition, which is still intact, thank goodness. This is not a rail against the authors, because I have much respect for both Peter and Katrin. I guess that's one of the reasons I'm so disturbed. Anybody else have this problem. I hope forum members will use their influence -- write the publishers about your problems. Hopefully we can get something done about these books. I need them but right now I feel like I shouldn't buy any more of these publishers' books. Tonight I've been searching the web about how to put this thing back together.
