Hi, all!

I am anxiously awaiting the Bridge CS3 2.1 compatible version of RapidFixer, since I often work on groups of 1000 images or more at a time.  So far, I find Bibble and C1 to be the kings of bulk adjustment efficiency and flexibility due to their modeless UI (no need to jump around different windows or modules or panels to perform different tasks).  I'm hoping RF will bring that efficiency to Bridge, virtually eliminating the need to go into ACR itself for adjustments.

One thing I will really need is keyboard shortcuts for my most often used adjustments (WB temp/tint, exposure, fill and brightness).  In Bibble, hotkeys for exposure and WB are conveniently clustered around the  z/x/c/f/g keys, so your left hand could handle those adjustments while your right hand stayed on the mouse.  Can arbitrary keyboard shortcuts be assigned to the RF buttons?  If so, I can then use something like a Contour Shuttle Pro or an X-Keys keyboard to further speed up image adjustment tasks.

It appears that RF has its control buttons split into two rows, occupying opposite sides of the screen.  I anticipate a lot of mouse movement between those two button bars, especially on large 30" displays.  Can those button bars be repositioned next to each other to economize on mouse movements?  Or better yet, be detachable and reshapeable so they can be docked on a second monitor, maximizing the main monitor for a large thumbnail display?

Really looking forward to using this with Bridge CS3... although the suspense is killing me so I might just get the current version for CS2 and roll back to the older Bridge for a while!

Brian,
We're limited to what Bridge enables for Javascript. Sadly, neither of those two are possible.

Right now, we're fighting a bug in Bridge 2.1.  RapidFixer works beautifully in 2.0, buttons are much better, better functionality.  Unfortunately, we're having to spend a lot of time trying to fix what 2.1 broke.

Thanks for the response, Peter.  Would it be possible to get a beta copy of RapidFixer that is compatible with Bridge 2.1?  I may be able to use something like AutoHotKey to assign keyboard shortcuts to arbitrary controls created by RF.  That's how I added keyboard shortcuts to ACR.  Those hotkeys are then mapped to the hardware buttons on my Shuttle Contour Pro, allowing me one-press access to increase/decrease EV, warm/cool WB, increase/decrease fill light, jog from image to image, etc., etc.

If members here are interested, I could share the config files needed to use RF with a Shuttle Pro or X-Keys keyboard.

Brian,
Email me privately once the 2.1 comes out.  It should be very soon. I have found a workaround for the 2.1 bug that, while not ideal, seems to work.
