Hello all!

I was curious to know if anyone out there happens to know of any good Point of Sale (POS) systems for photographers. I'm thinking that something like this would be a good thing to speed up the back-end & sales workflow and for managing photo/print sales. Just thought I'd throw out the question....by the way, it would be for an APPLE OSX system.

I breezed through the "checkout" and "lightspeed" programs features and both look pretty interesting/promising. Has anyone had any experiences with either?

What do you mean with Point-of-Sale system? (POS to me usually means check our counters in supermarkets and I don't think that's what you mean...)

Do you mean on-line sales system?

I was actually referring to something that one could use to track and then sell images as kind of like through a retail POS system. (I want to know when I'm low on some images and then have a somewhat automatic reordering system) Which could then also be configured for use on a website. I'm thinking of something that could keep track of sales figures, and with some sort of accounting back-end to it. I've only come across a couple as mentioned in my previous post that could be worthwile to look at. I realize that our business relies a lot on invoices, not necessarily sales "receipts" however I'm thinking bigger picture here. i.e: studio with multi-facets. I do other work as well, (not necessarily photography, but related) but which could eventually be incorporated into the business structure. I'm also thinking in terms of selling wholesale which would require quantity orders.

thanks for your inquiring more via your reply.
