How is this for a start system...from MBS? I know I will use the capacity, thoughts? Any other reccomendations?

Terry,
I can't comment on the particular hardware, but the overall approach sounds good to me. (Including buying from a reputable retailer who will help you get it up and running.)

Do you need all the drives right now?  If not, you can rest assured that they will be cheaper and of higher capacity in several months.
