I have been using MediaPro 2.6, though in a very ad hoc fashion. I've just set up a new raid system, and inspired by Peter's book I'm going to set up a 'proper' DAM system, pretty well from scratch.

Rather than begin with MediaPro 2.6 and then upgrade to v3 down the track, am I better to upgrade to v3 before setting up my catalog? (I held off on the limited time upgrade offer thinking Aperture might be a goer, but is obviously not a viable option - at least not at this point).

Or are there issues still with IVMP 3.0.1 which would make it better for me to stick with v2.6.4 at this stage?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Forrest,
I would say wholeheartedly to go ahead and upgrade to 3.

Many thanks for the advice Peter, and thanks also for an excellent book. You are one of those rare people who not only knows their subject thoroughly, but can also impart that knowlege to others in an easy to understand and entertaing way!
