Rank & File not transferring label info
«

I just started using Rank and File on Windows XP
I selected 150 DNG images and dropped them onto IView. 99 of these images were labelled in ACR. When they arrive in IView, no images show as labelled. When I look at an image in IView which I know was labelled in ACR, its keyword shows the correct label definition.
In the R&F dialog, I checked Extract & embed label, Extract and embed star rating, IView Compatibility and Embed file name as PreservedFileName.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks, Lars

Lars,
What you are seeing is as designed behavior.
Since you can assign any name to any label in Bridge, we can't map the Bridge Label to a Label in iView - instead we map it to a Keyword. You can select all items with a particular keyword in View and assign them a label.

Peter,
Thanks for the explanation. On another note, can I change the label colors of 1 through 5 stars to nothing, a box border with no color inside, just like it shows when there are no stars?
Thanks, Lars

After playing with iView more, I find myself even more confused.
Are the Urgency fields totally separate and distinct from the Keywords of the same name?
How did I get them out of sync?
Why would I want duplicates (1Star in both Urgency and Keywords), especially since they can become de-coupled? I thought that good DB design dictates that you do not have duplicate attributes.
Thanks for the help, Peter.

ars,
One reason I like to put the rating information in more than one field is to be able to back it up. It's not hard to change ratings accidentally, and this is information that I don't want to lose.
