Has anyone here used the Controlled Vocabulary Keyword Catalog w/Image Info Toolkit II with Adobe Lightroom yet? Someone recently wrote to me, "I tried the CVKC with Lightroom and it works, though on the machine which I was testing --a two year old Dell Laptop with a gig of ram -- Lightroom ran as slow as molasses. It took about five minutes for the CVKC to load initially and then delays the launch each time I start Lightroom. So whether or not you would consider it to be "appropriate or useful" is largely going to depend on the state of your hardware." Anyone with other experience?

Kim,

If you haven't seen them already, here are some related links to look at, which backup the information you've been provided:

Wow. Thanks, Chris. No, I hadn't run across those links and that certainly answers my question. Much appreciated.

New question. I bought Controlled Vocabulary and the Image Toolkit. When I bring up the string of keywords into the Caption box so they become comma seperated, and then I cut and paste that into Lightroom's Keyword Tag Box, they shift in immediately with no problem. I have opened and closed Lightroom to make sure they stay and success! It seems to me, after having read so much info on how these programs run so terribly slow in conjunction with one another, along with the fact that I am not particularly computer saavy, that I must be missing a critical element. Am I not performing a critical step in the keywording process?
