Can we verify what is embedded in the DNG

I was wondering if we could verify later what was embedded in the DNG, as you call it Digital job jacket.
If you could see the embedded jpg (size full or medium), if RAW was embedded or if you have the right xmp file in (lets say the verify the latest by date).
In case if you can't see, should I recreate the DNGs from my RAWs?
My assistant made the DNGs and I am not sure under what settings they were created.

Edua,
You can check the preview by looking at it with iView or idImager, Portfolio or iMatch.  If it looks full size, then it is.

By importing it into a catalog program, you can see what XMP data is in there.

You can tell if the Raw file is on there by file size.

It ay be better to simply recreate, if there is real doubt and the raws are close at hand.
