I have a very simple question, please.

Using PS Elements 5.0, how do I capture non-PS files in "My Pictures" folder into permanant PS files?

TIA,

Jules,
Not sure what you mean by both "capture" and "permanent".

Peter,

Sorry for the delayed response.

What I mean, I guess, is I have many JPEG files on my computer that were placed there long BEFORE I fired up PS Elements.  Now, I seem to have problems moving these files to PSE, or opening them in PSE.  It should be intuitive, I know, but it just does not work for me.  It seems that any NEW file I move to PSE stay there, but moving old files there does not work.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure you need to move them. just let PS5 (or any other  version) know where they are. You can add folders (and sub folders) to the catalogue, or get PS to search the whole computer for images. (not recommended-it finds all sorts of odd files)
