Problem/Bug with DNG Converter for Windows?

Has anybody else eperienced this problem with DNG Converter (on XP Pro with Service Pack 2)? When I open the program, I only see about 70% of the dialog box. I see everything top to bottom (select images..., select location to save..., select name..., Preferences, About DNG Converter), but I lose about 30% of the box on the right side. This means that I don't see the plus signs next to the second boxes on the right, and if there is a Quit button, I don't see it. So far it hasn't really stopped me (because I'm not renaming in DNG Converter and I can always hit the X in the upper right corner to quit the program), but I'm wondering if anyone else had this problem with version 3.3x43. I downloaded it twice and get the same problem.
Thanks,
Steve

I don't have that problem, but I am running version 3.2. Since version 3.3 is still in beta, you might want to try the 3.2 version.

Rick,
Makes sense. I'll give it a try when I get home tonight.
Thanks,

I have not experienced this, but you might try changing your video card resolution or updating your video card drivers.

Rick and Dan,
No luck. I tried DNG Converter ver. 3.2 and had the same problem. I also updated the video card driver (ATI Radeon 9600 SE) but no go on that one either. Oh well, unless anyone has any other ideas, I'll stop by the Adobe forum and see what they have to say. It's not a huge problem, because as I said in the original post, when using the converter, I haven't been changing file names, so not seeing the right side of the dialog box shouldn't be a big deal (still like to fix it though).
Thanks again,
Steve

Steve, can you make a screen grab and post it here? (look under Additional Options in the reply dialog box for a way to attach photos.)
Is this the only application that gives you strange windows?

Peter,
I'm at work now but will post a screen shot later tonight. This is the only app that has given me a truncated window (or any noticeable problem given that I keep a pretty clean XP Pro PC).
Thanks,
Steve

Peter,
I couldn't figure out how to embed an image in this post, so I uploaded it to my smugmug site. Here it is:

Thanks for helping.

Steve - You said your version of XP Pro SP2 was current. Do you by any chance have auto-updates turned on? Or, do you download and install all updates as they come out? The reason I'm asking is that I do the auto-updates and one was installed the other day and I now have the same issue as you. I'll have to do some research to see if there is a way to back the change off.

I have auto-updates set to prompt me when there are new updates, though having finally made the move to Service Pack 2 without problems, I generally accept all updates. That said, one popped up tonight that I didn't have time to download. I'm guessing the most recent update I accepted was within the past two or three weeks, possibly even less. Let me know if you have any luck.
Steve
P.S. Now I'm curious. I'm downloading today's update, though I'm guessing that has something to do with the WMF vulnerability that's in the press lately. Will come back with an update after I reboot.

Still not working with the most recent XP update. Let me know if it works if you go back in time (reverse the updates).

No luck on my end. I uninstalled the most recent update with no effect. The only other thing that I recall installing within the last couple of days is the latest Macromedia Flash update (which stilll did not allow me to run the Lightroom video
), but I can't see how the flash.ocx would affect the DNG Converter dialog. I'll keep looking.

Rick,
Thanks for trying. As you can see from the screen shot, it's no big deal and as long as I'm not doing any renaming in DNG, there's no real impact. Eventually, I'll post it on the Adobe forum...or I could get one of those sweet MacBook Pros that were announced yesterday
.
Steve
P.S. Not sure if you're renaming files in DNG, but if you need to I assume you know that you can convert images to DNG via Camera Raw. One nice thing I've found with this approach is that if I want to convert selected files within a folder (say 2-star and above so that you can embed the original RAW), you can.

I looked at the DNG forum and it appears that at least one other person is experiencing the issue. Since I don't have the latest flash.ocx installed at work, I was going to install DNG Converter and have a go at breaking it here. Seems that the link to download the converter is not working at the moment. Coincidence? Perhaps.

P.S. - I rename my files using Bridge and most of the time I like to do all my DNG conversions in a single pass so I use the converter.
