Hi Peter -

I want to create a custom HTML gallery template.  I have created a custom index page in Dreamweaver that reflects the design of my website witht the MediaPro field phrases.  But now I want to experiment a bit and compare what I've got to the existing templates in iVIew. The iView documentation suggests that I make a copy of an existing HTML template (like Aqua, for example), rename it, and experiment with changing the field values or the design.

Two questions:
Where on my hard drive are the exisiting template folders stored?  They are not in user/Library/Application Support/iView/Plug-ins/HTML Templates.
Does iView automatically generate the preview image that is shown in the HTML export dialog?

Thanks -Rick

BTW, I've ordered the Quad firewire drive box + drives.  It's on the way.

Rick,
If you run a find on Aqua (from the finder), do you see the files?  Have you checked the iView forum for answers?  There is a section on HTML galleries.

The preview image is a jpeg file that you create.  When you see the folders with the HTML galleries, you will see a file called "About".

Found it!

To view the existing HTML template folders, do this (on a Mac):

Go to Applications/iVIew MediaPro
Control-click on iView MedioPro icon
Scroll to "Show Package Contents"
Navigate to Contents/Shared Support/Plug-ins/HTML Templates

Voila! You're there.

Rick,
Glad for the tip.  I knew that it was hard to find.  Until you click on the Show Package Contents, I think everything is wrapped up in the program itself and is not visible.  I've been able too see it here, because it was not invisible in some earlier versions, and I had those on my system.
