I need help asap, please.  Based on the Dambook information I downloaded Import From Camera script and placed it in the Bridge scripts as guided by the book. Now,  I cannot open Bridge at all. Does anyone have a suggestion? It has completely shut me down.  I am on Windows XP and tried System Restore but that didn't help since the script is still in place. I also have not been able to get to the script to remove it  thru Explorer.

Here is the error that comes up when I try to open Bridge:
Error 2: photoshop is undefined.
Line: 1
->photoshop.invokebridge (false,false,:);

Thanks,
Debra Ferguson (attended Dam Workshop, New Orleans ASMP  on Jan. 16)

Debra, why not? Is the file locked? In which case reboot the machine and try to delete it again.

Hi John:
Thanks for getting back to me. I trashed the import camera .jsx file from the adobe scripts and re-booted but still get the same error when I try to open browser from ps2. Are there other files that came  in with the script that also need to be removed so I can be rid of the whole thing? I have to leave the office this morning and will be checking back.

Thanks,
Debra

Debra,
This does not sound like a problem that would come from simply installing a script.  I wonder if the System Restore did this.

Can you describe exactly what steps you went through?  I'm puzzled as to why you could not remove the script, or what led to the system restore.

I think you probably need to reinstall Photoshop, sorry. Sounds like an essential element was trashed by the system restore.

Installing the script should do nothing that cannot be entirely undone by simply taking the script out of the scripts folder.

Peter:
I did re-install PS2 earlier today and that fixed whatever went wrong. When I trashed the script from PS2 it continued to give me an error when I tried to open Bridge, so re-install was the answer. Based on what I saw in this forum it looks like Image Ingester is the better choice so I'll try that next time.
By the way, I've been working with the training video. It's a great interface with the book. And, your New Orleans presentation tied it all together.

Thanks for the help.

Debra,
Great: glad everything is back to normal.  And sorry about whatever caused your problem.  I know how frustrating that can be.

I recently had a problem with Bridge locking up.  I purged preferences, chache, ended up reinstalling the entire Creative Suite, only to find out things *still* did not work right.  Turned out purging the Camera Raw Cache (by finding the folder and doing a manual purge) finally fixed it.  Wish I could have gotten that day back...
