I have just installed iView MP 3.0 on a new Mac G5 Tiger system and am having troubles getting my Label Preferences to get saved. I go through the same process that I did with the Windows system, changing the colors, changing the text, and all the appropriate labels and colors change on the image files in the catalog. I try saving the catalog but the system thinks there is no change in the catalog. Exit the system, re-start, and the labels are all back to the default settings.

I have written to support at iView, obtained their blessing on the registration and installation, but I don't get any answers to the question above.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried making a change to the catalog and saving?

Gave it a go but it made no difference. I tried re-loading the software as well. I was thinking it might be the result of starting with a trial version and then registering it, but iView said that is exactly the way to do it. I will try talking with them tomorrow.

Perhaps I am the only person to lose labels like this, but I have found the answer. The iView Preferences are stored in a library folder of preferences in the user directory. I trashed the file that was there, re-saved my preferences, and now the labels are remembered. Whether this was a normal thing to happen or caused by some corruption is unknown.
