Slides into DAM scheme

I'm about done getting all of my digital and digitized images into DAM shape by "the book." Now I'm looking at a few file drawers full of archival sheets of 35mm chromes. The mounts do not have  info on them. I know I can shoot these sheets on a light box. What do people do about labels on the mounts? Is there an app that will run on OS X to make labels? Any other suggestions?
