What do you folks think about using ACR 4 and Bridge 2 for everyday work right now? Is it safe?

I haven't used the new Bridge (in fact, it didn't even install properly), but I've been using ACR4 for days, without any problems. Its results (i.e., embedded JPEGs) are picked up by iView Media Pro just as before.

It works relatively well altho' I've had a few bad crashes in Bridge2 working in ACR. All of the crashes came when trying to change crops on a previously cropped image. I've changed my usual default method of working on a rough first pass to doing the adjustments required, closing ACR to checkpoint the changes and then doing the crop/rotation work on a separate pass.

Chris,
I see that as a couple of questions.  Is it safe to work on files, is the work you do safe, and is it safe to install.

It's relatively safe to work on files, but you should back things up before doing Bridge2 work. For at least a little while, you should double check that everything is file (all files are there, all seem to open fine).

I think the work you do should be completely safe, meaning that the ACr controls are not likely to be tweaked much in the time between now and final release.

I still think it's best to install on a backup version of your boot drive, as described elsewhere on this forum.
