Now I really feel dumb, but when I try to follow chap 12 on disc A, it appears to be working, but iView never opens my email client. I do have other programs that send email and open my email, but this doesn't work. I am using Windows XP, but don't hold that against me....

Is this (actually are these) problem(s) ones that I should be addressing to IView?

What's your email client? I have seen a similar problem with Outlook on Windows 2000 and XPPro where the Send button doesn't always seem to work.

If you right click the image in Explorer, does the Send To > Mail Recipient option do anything?

Interesting...my email client is Pocomail, much better and more powerful than Outlook or Express

When I R-clk in Explorer as you suggest, I get a dialog box asking if I want to compress or leave the image. I clicked leave it alone and then OK, then nothing happens. So the problem is clearly something in Windows and not in iView. But is strange that when I click on a "mailto" link in my browser, it opens up the mail client as expected...

You probably need to make sure Pocomail is setup in iView's Helper Applications (Edit/Preferences/Helper Applications).

Additionally, you may want to check to ensure that Windows recognizes Pocomail as your default email program ~

Open your Windows Control Panel, then open Internet Options. On the "Programs" tab, make sure your Pocomail is listed as the default email handler for your computer system. If it is not, you will have to find and set Pocomail's option to set itself as the default email program.

For what it's worth, your browser can have its own setting for its preferred email program, which can bypass your Control Panel/Internet Options setting, so it is not altogether surprising that your browser opens Pocomail, but iView does not. This may also be true if you don't have Pocomail setup in iView's Helper Applications.
