Win Beta crash on Preferences-Data tab

I've got this one fixed and will upload a new beta tomorrow (Sun.) or Monday.

Meanwhile, if you open the Metadata panel first, it won't crash when you click on the Preferences-Data tab.

i just logged onto the forums here to post that i had figured out the difference with this crash (metadata panel open vs. closed).
