Are you able to create metadata templates by using the "Save Metadata Template..." command from the File Info panel in Bridge?

Yes I am able to save new templates.

I wonder if the file is being saved in the wrong place. Can you search the hard drive for a file called __RFL__TMP? If you've Google desktop search, that'd be easy, but I appreciate it'll mean leaving Windows searching for a while.

OK, I don't know what happened, but today when i tried it again it is suddenly working.
