We have finalized Rank and File Lite, and will be sending it out to all purchasers of Rank and File.  Subsequent purchasers will get both versions when they buy the software.  I have put together a movie showing how and why to use the software.  It's available here:

http://www.damuseful.com/movies/RankandFileLite.mov

We should have the email out to purchasers some time on Monday. We will be sending it out the the email address associated with the Paypal transaction when the file was purchased.  If you have bout the plug-in, and don't see an upgrade email by Tuesday, drop us a line.

Peter,

Do you know if the problems I mentioned here http://thedambook.com/smf/index.php?topic=565.msg5186#msg5186 have been fixed for the Windows versoin?

Dan,
I think I had sent you a wrong version earlier.  This one does indeed put the filename in the title field.
It does not touch the date created field.  That was something that a user wanted that was not correct for digital photography.

Peter,

Also, I've noticed that the movie above has long periods of time where the video does not update.  I even downloaded it to see if it was a web problem, but still get the problem.  The audio updates fine.

Dan,
Are you seeing it after the first time I run the script?  The "Nine Images Converted" dialog stays up on the screen too long.

Or are you seeing it hang in different places? (ie, not the same place each time the script is run)

I crunched this movie down with Quicktime Pro, instead of having Shayne do it with Sorrenson Squeeze, and I think that is where the problem lies.  I'll ask Shayne to give this one a squeeze, since it applies much better compression.

Peter,

The "Nine Images Converted" dialog stays up on the screen too long, and there are some other places too, but it appears to always be in the same places.  I think it may be a compression problem.

I'm pretty sure it is.  I'll try to recompress, but I think it will have to wait for Shayne to run Squeeze on the file.  The original file is 200MB, so it's a bit large for the purpose at hand.

The movie has been recompressed, and I think it looks much better now.  (It's also 50 MB)
