uncool.

i just ordered mine like literally two minutes ago, and they're not here yet. i'm SO impatient!

on the other hand, i have around 150,000 photos from 2002 onward that i need to get properly cared for, so i'm simultaneously very unexcited....  Undecided

Mine has just arrived as well.  Looking forward to it.  And don't worry Peter, I will refrain from this mistake again http://thedambook.com/smf/index.php?topic=94.msg431#msg431.  Brings back memories ;-).  I think I still hold the record there LOL!

Peter,

You're quite welcome.  Glad I've been able to help.

Mine arrived today and I would like to say that they are as good as the book  Smiley

You might want to double check that the CD's are firmly seated in the case as disc B was loose when I opened mine and judging by all the scatches it looks as though it had a bumpy ride.  I have checked the disk and I was able to copy the contents onto my HDD.

Glenn,
We have changed the case these will be coming in.  If there are any problems, we'll happily (well, maybe we won't be happy, at least in regards to the supplier) replace them.

Glad you are getting a lot form them.

Oh yes, I found section 7, Make adjustments with Adobe Camera Raw really useful.  I have read a couple of books on this subject but watching how you going about using camera raw was excellent.  Smiley

Glenn,
Most of the books out there concentrate on how to make the best possible conversion for every file.  That's quite a bit different than how to adjust lots of files to be "good enough".  Proofing is an important concept in the photographers workflow, and its meaning and ramifications have changed in the digital era.

Since the ACR/DNG/iView workflow offers unification of the RAW data and the proof - along with the easy readjustment and re-unification of a new proof - it allows you to be more efficient as you allocate your time.  And it encourages you to look at your ACR iwork n a different way.
