I've searched the forum for answers to the following questions, but have not seen answers to this particular arrangment. I am attempting to maintain (1) an identical set of photos on both desktop and laptop (easy part) and (2) one catalog on each computer. My attempt is to work home and away (ingest, cull, rate, keywords, etc.). I am planning to sync the photos on returning to home (again easy part).  File structure is identical on both machines. Macintosh HD->Pictures-> DAM photos. Here are the questions-
1. If I sync the iView (.ivc) database between computers, do I need .ivc database to be in a similar named folder on each computer and/or preferably  in the same folder as the photos (for one sync process), and
2. by having auto-update ON, will the catalog update when accessed after syncing (just to complete the cycle).

Greatly appreciate any input.
