image grabber that annotates location?

I've stated elsewhere that I gather images to build a reference file for paintings and other original artwork. I wonder if anyone knows of an application which can save an image AND can annotate the saved file with the original location of the image (the web site address).
I occasionally want to go back to the place where I found an image, but unless I originally entered the location info (either in an unwieldy title, or tagging as I go), I otherwise have no record. I'd have thought this would be standard stuff, but most of the image capture apps I look apparently don't do this (or maybe I'm missing something obvious).
It really doesn't matter to me in which field the info would be stored (as keyword, source, etc), I'd just like to be able to do an image save-as and also have annotated the location somewhere in the file.
Thanks- Bill
