panasonic raw (lx-1) not working with II?

i'm having trouble ingesting raw images from my panasonic lx-1. i thought it was a new reader i bought, but i think i've just realized that it is II. (i'm able to ingest with image capture). is this is bug? the error message says something about not being able to find the last slash...
