DNG's for stock delivery?
«

I'm currently building up my stock library and haven't yet delved
into the detailed technical requirements of stock agencies.
I'm concerned about the risk of establishing my database in the
DNG format for purposes of stock sales and/or agency representation.
i.e. I understand that RAW formats are generally preferred as
of late and I'm wondering about the general acceptance of
the DNG format as a delivery medium (when RAW is requested)
in the stock photography/advertising marketplace.
Thanks,
Mark

I've never heard of either RAW or DNG files being acceptable for stock delivery. Agencies don't want the digital equivalent of undeveloped (or developed) negatives. Raw is what comes out of our cameras, DNG is how we store it for our own purposes. Delivery is usually TIFF, though sometimes large JPG are an acceptable substitute.
