Personally, I'd recommend moving to Expression Media 2.
The benefits (notably speed) are much more positive than any of the bugs. All software has bugs regardless of the version. It is just a fact of software development.
I've had very little issues and find it much more usable.
Best regards,
Paul

It sounds like you have a virus or a trojan installed on your system. If that's the case, changing the password won't help.
You'll want to run an up-to-date virus scan to make sure your machine is clean.
Best regards,
Paul

I had that problem when I upgraded my video drivers to the latest from NViidia. Apparently it is Quicktime's bug, but it is the latest video drivers that trigger the problem.
Until they fix Quicktime I downgraded my video drivers to the previous incarnation and all is good now.

General / General Discussion / Re: Watermarks on images in your public web galeries?

Louie,
To me, it is a trade off between disfiguring an image with a watermark or allowing unfettered "borrowing" of an image.
Personally, I do watermark the images on my web site, with a somewhat subtle transparent embossed effect. The watermark is usually off to one corner or the other. I keep the resolution of my images to 720 pixels on the longest side.
There is no practical way of stopping someone from borrowing an image from a web site. You can go to all sorts of lengths of disabling right-clicking or constantly emptying the clipboard, but these methods are useless against anyone who knows what they are doing. And, a lot of these methods just annoy legitimate users.
By keeping the size of my images down to 720 pixels on the long side and tagging them with a watermark, I am effectively limiting the size someone can reasonably print the image at, and if they do print it, my mark is there (although it could be removed with some effort). I also try to make sure that all my images are tagged with the appropriate IPTC data so that the images could be found if someone a little less knowledgeable were trying to pass them off as their own.
There are, unfortunately, no perfect answers to this problem.
