Hi Dan,
I have read the book gotten the video's and am still confused. As I sit I just re-read the part of the ratings. First I'm really new to this thing called DAM but have been taking photos for about 5 years and have over 20K pictures i need to catalog and sort and all that stuff. I understand all the color and stars since I set that up based on Peter's video/book. But What I don't understand is the "Netural" rating. There is neither a star nor a color in the book or the video. But it makes sense to have one for pictures that don't merit a star nor are they bad enough to throw away. I do a lot of soccer pictures for my kids teams each game will produce over 300 pictures good enough to keep to give to the kids at the end of the season but not really a star quality. I'm getting better at what even one star means to me and it's getting harder and harder to get 2 or 3 stars.
A little light on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Neville

Just moved to Mac and am having trouble with MacBook Pro mounting the camera as a external drive to download pictures via Image Ingester. I called Apple and they could not figure it our they recommend installing the software that came with the camera. Of course I bought the camera 6 years ago and cant find the software. Any magical tips would be appreciated. Right now I am using a using a USB 2 card reader but would like to just plug in the camera.
Thanks Neville

I am finally a convert have changed from PC to a Mac in most of my life. But my pictures are still on the PC since I have 2 2 TB external Hard Drives and have used other programs (elements) for most of the tracking of the 10K plus pictures on it. I want to use EM on the PC and the Apple but do not want to house the pictures on the Mac. Can the catalog sets be the same for both computers? When I just loaded the Mac version it wanted to save the catalog as another name.
Thanks for the help.

So to ask another neophite question, I have just started the process of DAM read the book working on new vs. the 18K plus photos that I already have in Adobe elements. Just today downloaded Expressions and Iview Pro 3. But which one would you recommend that I start with? Since Pro is going to no longer really be there since the purchase by Microsoft at least in the near 1-2 year future would it be better to start with Expressions or with Pro and then migrate to expressions especiall since MS really didn't do much to the program?
Thanks in advance.
