Hi Frank,
Yes, there are long term plans to get IDimager to other platforms as well. MacOS will be the first targetted platform, but development still has to start and it may still take a couple years before it is released.
Sorry for that.

Thank you for the congrats Ken! Just let me know when you have the time to spend on IDimager and Id be happy to help you further. Btw; the free viewer tool you were asking for is far into development and I'll release a beta soon so people can start providing more input on what features are required in addition to what I already added. Hert Congratulations, Hert!
I am looking forward to tryinig out the release version after having a taste of the betas. Unfortunatley, I should have purchased a copy before this release as I see there was an adjustment in the pricing. Still, the price seems quite reasonable for what is being offered. Now, if I can just get LR under control so I can devote some time to your program. Then, I just might have the tools for a complete DAM system, soup to nuts! All the best.

Software Discussions / iView MediaPro / Re: Keywords Seperated by semicolons

Hi Drew,
Keywords in IPTC (classic/IIM) is a so-called "multi" field. That means that an application is allowed to write multiple tag instances of the same number; typically one for each keyword. When you say that your keywords are read by iMatch as a single, semi-colon, separated string then I assume that your source system (portfolio?) worte this field as a single keyword. What I mean is that I think this is more a portfolio issue than an iMatch issue.
Either check if Portfolio allows you to write multiple keywords. If not, then I guess you have one more option; ask the iMatch community if they can write a script for you to tokenize the keywords again and write them as multiple keywords.

Hert, is your IDimager windows only? Hi Jim, Yes, IDimager is Windows only for now. There are plans to build a Mac version but for now that is still future music. Don't expect in within the first few years. Thanks for asking. Hert

Hi Jim,
In general the Title is used to store the electronic document name. For photos that means the file name (without extension)
The Headline is used to store a short description of the photo (consider it a newspaper headline); usualy not longer than a few words
The Description is used to contain a full textual description of the photo

(Writing from your home country today) Peter, Aah, you're in Holland now. Do you happen to be near Den Haag (The Hague)? It is considered a temporary solution until a more permanent place could be found. I understand the background of this being a temporary solution, but you can not call it a temporary solution when this is already "live". Hopefuly you can use my summier input above when a more final solution is being determined. Everyone agrees that there needs to be standardization here, the question was what was possible to get out the door, given the fact that no standard exists at the time. A good moment to set a standard is when there is no standard yet . And i couldn't agree more. As XMP is so easy to use to exchange metadata it becomes more and more important to strive for one standard which all management/keywording tools could then follow. Maybe good to include the "independant" IPTC organization in the discussion. Also if you need me to provide input, I'd be more than happy to provide it. Hert

1) i was not able to change the password i can't understand the reason of the password! i was not able to change , or delete Hi Giovanni, You can change the password in the application by selecting Help -> Change password If you don't have a need for a password then you can add the login details as application command parameters. The help file, Appendix B describes how to do that. 2) the program is great , i found many great features , and what i need Thank you so much. do u need a italian translator? That would be very welcome. You could send me a mail at support@idimager.com to discuss this further. I don't think this is the right platform for that. @Marc; Thank you for the input on the new ACDSee. Fyi; IDimager V4 has evolved in many respects compared to V3. If you are open to give IDI a new test run then please feel free to contact me through PM or mail. I would be more than willing to assist you where ever I can. Hert
